Hey guys (especially those with older bmw examples such as myself) I'm here to let you guys know that this place not only met my expectations, but surpassed them as well! I own a 1991 BMW 325i MTech2 e30 automatic transmission and I wanted to convert it to 5 speed manual transmission. So I asked my friend good friend (who is someone that has been selling e30 for over a decade now) "who can i go to for this type of job who not only would do the job correctly and in a timely manner, but also care for my car while the car is in their hands?". Without hesitation he told me to come check out Sam over at Auto Works in Ft Lauderdale. He assured me not only has Sam performed plenty of 5 speed transmission swaps for him in the past, but that he also takes great care of the cars in his possesion. That is just something so rare these days and i took my friends reccomendation. Sam told me the job would take him just a few days (about 2 days) and he ended up completing the job in a fraction of the time! He was really transparent and helpful with any and all questions I had as well, which I can't rave about enough. Now i am leaving this review as not only a customer that is more than satisfied, but also a customer Sam will have for life! Good car mechanics are 1 in a million these days. I can proudly say Auto Works in Ft Lauderdale is a great place for your car repair needs! As I was there dropping off and picking up my car i saw them working on all kinds of cars not just e30.

Great shop. The owner and staff are friendly and super helpful. I bought a motor and driveshaft from them for two different projects and the experience was great. I highly recommend this shop for their expertise and service

Very quick, very cheap, very good service! The staff was great! Had some major issues with my car . They knew the issues right away, and flexibly and diligently completed the entire job at a fair price. It was like dropping off a wrinkled suit to get tailored and picking it up the next day perfectly pressed like brand new. Thank you

I have been going to this shop for 17 years, great service, very knowledgeable and I love the fact that they only work on BMW you can’t go wrong if you are looking for someone who knows what they are doing with your BMW ! After going to 3 other shops and not getting proper service for my car I found this place best thing that could have ever happened.👍👍👍👍

I brought my 2015 BMW to Auto Works with a long list of diagnostics that appeared on my scan. The shop owner told me exactly what was necessary to repair/replace now vs. what could wait. He is very honest and does not try to oversell you. The turnaround is very quick and they are very efficient. The owner is very knowledgeable and gave great car advice. I won’t bring my car anywhere else for repairs. 10/10 service.
